FUCK THE POLICE

911 EVERY DAY
Instead of completely nationalizing health insurance, why don't we make a national health insurance policy one of the options on the table? If nationalized insurance really is so much more efficient, surely it could compete in the free market with other health insurance plans?

We should, however, make health insurance, nationalized or private, mandatory. If someone can't afford it, the government will pick up some of the tab.

And, of course... ALL insurance plans should be tax exempt, not merely those provided by employers and the government. I don't see why working class people who's employers don't provide a plan should be penalized.

Because Cons will fight that idea to the death.

Imagine we made something like the Federal Employee Health Insurance Plan available to anyone who wants it. It would outcompete whatever crappy insurance an individual could buy individually for themselves on the "free market" because of its low overhead cost and immense bargaining power.

Didn't you just describe Hillary's plan to give people access to Medicaid, force people to buy insurance or put them on a government plan if they can't afford it, and let people choose their own free-market plan if they prefer?

Sounds pretty similar.

Federal Employeed Health Insurance Plan is one of the plans Hillary is going to give people the option to buy into, according to the article I read right after her announcement.

I mean, well, if the Federal Employee plan were made available to everyone, it would force the individual insurance companies to get the fuck off of their asses and start handing out reasonable coverage, or face annihlation. It's more competition for the market. I don't see how anyone could possibly disagree with that.
