Sumo Clementines

I always have clementines on hand.

Since they're grown on both side of the Equator and travel fairly well,
they're readily available all year round.

They don't taste quite as good as oranges, I'll admit,
but they're much easier to peel
and I place a HUGE premium on my personal convenience.

Sumo are something like 3x the price/lb of normal....as you should know if you are to speak here.

From what I can see, they're locally available during the winter months only.
I'll watch for them come the new year....if I'm still around.

They are huge, they are sweet, they are extremely expensive, and they are available now.

I just ate one.

Wife last week got me three...I am not sure if they were not the best or if alternately maybe the novelty is wearing off. I think I know that these are around 100% the price of a basic good orange of the same fruit weight (the peels are very bulky)...that is more than they are worth except as a novelty.
