Superbowl Thread.... (I'll move it to the sports, etc. area after the game...)

If I was watching it for the football maybe. I watch the Superbowl for the commercials. When it gets deliberately political they tend to lose interest for many people.
Some years it does get political, but often with good reason. trump has almost every corporation kissing the ring, so I didn't really notice any subtle messaging.

It was a slow, ugly game. First half, both QBs sucked. Football is a game decided by the line. The Seahawks controlled the scrimmage. They wore them down.
I didn't care who won, but I'm required to root against N.E.. Both defenses looked excellent. True too is that neither QB is upper echelon. Both missed wide open plays, but they were under pressure.

I did expect at least one of the Ds to tire, but both looked very good. Typically the offense seals the deal with a key touchdown late in the game, but Seattle's defense takes home the prize.

The turnovers broke N.E.'s spirit.

They are kicking ass and taking names!
Democrats and republicans can come together over a silly game then spend the rest of the year squabbling about which party is wiping its ass with the constitution. We should be able to find common ground on issues like our crumbling infrastructure.

Everyone knows the next Wall Street bailout is right around the corner so we get to blame those with zero power for all the problems in the world.
