Manhattan prosecutors successfully pushed for a supervised release after Rivera’s defense attorney argued he should be released on his own recognizance, records show.

A judge granted supervised release and ordered Rivera to appear back in court Dec. 4, according to records.

Sources revealed Rivera has at least eight past arrests in New York City, a history of mental health issues and years of police run-ins crisscrossing several states.
