Syria's President Assad, in a message to Iran & Hezbollah: "Don't get ME mixed up in a war with Israel."

Syrian President Assad conveyed messages to Iran and Hezbollah not to embroil him in a war with Israel. Assad warned that offensive actions from Syria towards Israel could endanger his rule over SYRIA.

I'm not sure who Assad thinks he is trying to fool here, as there are HEZBOLLAH and Iranian strongholds throughout Syria.

If Assad is serious about his order to reduce the power of Iran-backed militias - likely out of fear that Israel would eliminate him as well - maybe he should start with removing the 529 Iranian military sites across Syria.
