47% of the US believes in Creationism according to a recent poll put here. That is more than just Republicans there, Cypress. Especially when only 35% of voters are registered Republican. However much you want to pretend, many of them must be Democrats as there is a huge chunk of Republicans that believe in Evolution as well...

religion is a crutch for the weak. that being said. i believe there are the weak on both sides of the political spectrum.

I was just kidding about the "republican" creation museum.

Believe me, I totally know there are socially conservative, or under educated Democrats that believe in creationism.

Hell, some of them probably believe in Santa Claus and the Loch Ness monster too!
