Anti- Health Care Reform teabagger, who claims he was beaten while protesting a pro- health care rally, now complains that he doesn't have insurance

Kenneth Gladney sat in a wheelchair on Pershing Avenue Saturday, his knee bandaged, holding a flag that read: "Don't Tread on Me."

Gladney, 38, was handing out the same flags after a town hall forum in Mehlville Thursday night, when, he says, he was attacked by members of the Service Employees International Union.

Less than 48 hours later, protesters gathered Saturday in front of the union's offices, many of them holding signs with a slightly different version of the message: "Don't Tread on Kenny."

Supporters cheered. [His attorney, David] Brown finished by telling the crowd that Gladney is accepting donations toward his medical expenses. Gladney told reporters he was recently laid off and has no health insurance.

Many young folks of moderate means go without health insurance because they know that Medicade is always available once they run out of money to pay for a serious illness or condition. Others choose high deductibles and in such cases ask for friends or relatives to chip in until the deductible is reached. *shrug*

You guys are so dumb you don't even realize you're doing all the work for a class of people that wouldn't give you the time of day. Anyone who will ever get taxed for this to keep it deficit neutral is making way more money than you ever will. You're fighting against you own best interests, and eating the lies they feed you like little cookies -- lies about euthanasia, death panels, not being able to keep your doctor, not being able to keep your insurance plan, whatever. You guys are all tools.

The guy lost his job and was unemployed and had no insurance because of that. Is that working?

And guess what? You don't have to participate in any government insurance option when the bill gets passed.
