A Fremont teacher was arrested for possessing child pornography, authorities said.

Gerald Jue, 63, was arrested shortly before 9 a.m. at his home in Contra Costa County, officials said.

Jue has been with Fremont Unified School District for three years and teaches third and fourth grade at Gomes Elementary School, school district officials said.

A teacher was arrested on charges of having sex with a student.

Lyndsey Sherrod Bates is charged with a felony count of engaging in a sex act with a student younger than 19, records show.

Bates is also charged with the following misdemeanors: three counts of distributing obscene material to a student and one count of having sexual contact with a student, according to jail records.

Police in Turlock say they’ve arrested 48-year-old Damon Witt for possession of child pornography.

Witt has worked as a substitute teacher in and around Stanislaus County schools.

Detectives searched Witt’s electronic devices on a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and say they found underage pornographic images.

Police arrested 42-year-old Schyler Charles Elliott for prohibited sexual conduct between an educator and student.

Elliott is a teacher at the Bossier Parish School of Technology and Innovation. Elliott was taken into custody at the school.

Detectives launched the investigation after receiving information that Elliott was engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile. Detectives found evidence that Elliott allowed and participated in sexual acts with a Bossier Parish student at Elliott’s residence.

Few details are being made public about the arrest of Larry Brewer, a music and chorus teacher at Pioneer Middle School.

Students said it was after third period when the school was put in a “code yellow” – meaning they couldn’t leave class.

Hours later, parents received an email, calling the lockdown a precaution while “school board police conducted some on campus business.”

Teacher Larry Brewer, 63, of Hollywood, was booked into the Broward County’s Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale. He faces charges of trespassing and threatening a public servant.

“That guy is crazy. And I’m not just saying that because of what happened today,” said Josh Lombardo, the father of a Pioneer Middle School student.

Lombardo said he thought Brewer had a temper issue during a parent-teacher conference and was worried for his daughter.

“Out of nowhere, this guy just literally snapped in the middle of the meeting,” Lombardo said.

Lombardo’s daughter, Lorelai, added, “I definitely didn’t feel safe around him.”

A teacher at a DeKalb County elementary school was arrested after police say he pushed a student down on the ground.

Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes was at Flat Rock Elementary School in Lithonia, where Arthur Anderson is accused of assaulting the student, who is not being identified. Police said the student was left with bruises on the head.

A 44-year-old Hanford teacher faces charges of child abuse after she was arrested at Lee Richmond School, police reported.

She was identified as Melissa Ediger, 44.

A police spokeswoman said that a school resources officer received information that a minor was injured through the actions of a teacher, and after an investigation, Ediger was arrested on the abuse charges and an additional charge of intimidating or dissuading a witness.

Editer was booked into the Kings County Jail.

A West Side elementary school teacher was arrested Thursday and charged with pushing a student.

Myra Timms faces a misdemeanor count of battery for the alleged encounter.

Officers responded shortly after 2 p.m. and determined the 33-year-old woman had “pushed” a 13-year-old boy, “causing him to stumble,” according to a statement from Chicago police.

Timms, a Grand Crossing neighborhood resident, was arrested at the scene. She teaches fifth grade, according to Spencer’s website.

The boy wasn’t hurt.

Timms could not immediately be reached for comment Friday evening.

A high school English teacher in New Jersey has admitted to sending nude photos of herself to a male student, according to multiple reports.

Michelina Aichele was arrested after a student went to school officials and reported her inappropriate behavior. Aichele denied any wrongdoing.

However, during police questioning, the male student revealed that for months Aichele had been sending him nude photos. She sent him text messages through Snapchat about her erotic thoughts about him, the criminal complaint states.

Authorities also learned Aichele urged the victim to take the so-called “Rice Purity Test,” a survey measuring a person’s promiscuity.

Aichele had been teaching English at the school since 2012. She used her school email address to contact the victim.

A Milwaukee teacher who pleaded guilty to sending nude photos of himself to a minor is back in police custody.

Kenneth Chu was arrested again Wednesday for charges not yet known. Chu was previously arrested after sending graphic photos and videos to a 16-year-old student while worked at Reagan High School.

Chu pleaded guilty in that case and will be sentenced in June.

A New York City teacher has been arrested for allegedly trading child porn videos on the dark web, the NYPD said.

Jonathan Schweitzer, 41, was arrested early Wednesday morning, police said.

Schweitzer shared pornographic videos on a peer-to-peer file sharing network. "The child pornography included depictions of prepubescent children engaged in sexual activity with other children or adults," the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York said.

Schweitzer has taught at Belmont Preparatory High School in the Fordham section of the Bronx since 2008, a spokesperson for the city’s Department of Education said.

A teacher who molested one student and sent sexual photographs to two others was sentenced to 18 years in prison Wednesday.

Ryan Harvey, 24, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault of a student, one count of aggravated child molestation, two counts of sexual battery on a child under 16 and three counts of electronically furnishing obscene material to minors.

A teacher with the Lake County School District has been arrested on suspicion of child sexual assault, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Charges filed against Sally Glaser, 63, whose name was released by Leadville police, include sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust, sexual assault on a child, unlawful sexual contact and child abuse, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The release did not include details as to what school the teacher was employed at, when the alleged assault occurred or when the teacher was arrested, stating “Since this involves a minor, care is being taken to protect such minor as well as to not harm the investigation.”
