A former Connecticut special education teacher accused of having sex with students was caught in a car with one of her alleged victims — despite an order of protection barring her from having contact with the child, police said.

Laura Calladio Ramos, 32, was pulled over after a cop spotted her talking on a cellphone while driving. Officers then determined that one of Ramos’ alleged victims in her pending sexual assault case was in the car with her, the Connecticut Post reported.

Ramos was charged with violating a protective order mandating that she have no contact with two students in the case. Investigators believe Ramos sexually assaulted other students as well.

Ramos, whose husband recently divorced her and gained custody of their 2-year-old son, is awaiting trial on two counts of second-degree sexual assault. Authorities allege Ramos sexually assaulted a special education student between December 2016 and April 2017 and a second student on multiple occasions at a restaurant, where a student told police they had sex in the eatery’s electrical room.

The student told police he later received a text from Ramos saying it was the best sex she ever had.

Police said Ramos, whose husband attended her initial arraignment, admitted after her arrest in a video-recorded statement that she had sex with the student a “handful of times” from December 2016 until April 2017, usually in her car.

Ramos, who remains free on $50,000 bond, is expected to appear in court Thursday before Superior Court Judge Robert Devlin.

Lori Beth Moore, a high school (ironic) teacher, was arrested for allegedly growing marijuana in her basement.

Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force Commander Pat Doyle said investigators received a tip that Moore was growing the drug. They searched the home and found a station with lights, chemicals and potting soil in the basement, implying to them that Moore raised marijuana.

Also, they found dead marijuana plants and clippings next to the equipment, as well as two ounces of marijuana in her bedroom that was clipped, dried and ready to be used. The task force arrested Moore on charges of manufacturing a drug with intent to distribute, possession of a Schedule 1 drug, possession of drug related objects and possession of a firearm in the commission of a crime.
"The case is still under investigation, and there is a possibility of further arrest," Doyle said.

Moore, who teaches computer applications, did not immediately return a call or text message to a listed phone number today.

County Schools Spokeswoman Marissa Brower said Moore is on administrative leave.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office Investigations arrested Hunter Herring Armstrong on outstanding charges of a school employee engaging in a sex act or deviant sexual intercourse with a student.

Armstrong was also charged with three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Lee County Sheriff Office received a complaint from a parent reporting that she discovered disturbing communications of a sexual nature on her 15 year old daughter’s cell phone.

According to the parent, her daughter was possibly involved in an inappropriate relationship with one of her teachers. The Sheriff’s Office initiated an investigation into the allegation which led to the discovery of evidence leading to the charges.

Armstrong is currently being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on $24,000 bond.
