Ted Cruz

We fight, We win, Am Yisrael Chai
There was so much to say about Senator Ted Cruz after his bizarre line of questions at the Senate confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson last week. Many, for good reason, focused on how the episode showed that Cruz has transitioned from an "unctuous asshole" to an aggressively deranged demagogue. As Ed Kilgore pointed out in The Intelligencer, during the hearings Cruz outdid himself "with the most disgraceful display of thuggish senatorial behavior I've personally seen in my many years of watching the upper chamber."

Cruz shouted, asked inane questions, seemed to search Twitter for himself, and even went after his fellow senators. It was such a grotesque performance that it was hard not to want to comment on the spectacle

To fully appreciate the gift Cruz handed his opposition, consider that the same week that Cruz was using his time to question Judge Jackson by ranting about children's books, .....................

Ted Cruz’s Bizarre ‘Antiracist Baby’ Tirade Backfires

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is being mocked online after asking United States Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson about a children’s book during her confirmation hearing before the Senate, inadvertently sending sales of said book skyrocketing on Amazon.

Jackson seems to have endured the world’s weirdest job interview, as Cruz focused on a handful of children's books being taught by the Georgetown Day School, a prep school where Jackson serves as a trustee, singling out a 2020 picture book titled Antiracist Baby, written by Ibram X. Kendi.

Amusingly, Cruz seems to have completely misunderstood the point of the children’s book - Antiracist Baby explicitly teaches that racism is something that has to be taught, and is not inherent to the human condition.

Let me guess, a kid's picture book might hurts the feelz of little white kids? *sigh*

And they used to call us normal, sane people "snowflakes."

Aww, jeez. When I saw the title I hoped it'd finish with "Ted Cruz...is dead. He was found hanging in a closet in a suspected accidental auto-erotic asphyxiation ."

Maybe next time!

Per the OP, IMO, Ted Cruz wants to follow Devin Nunes as a Trump cocksucker sycophant at TrumpCo. The confirmation hearing was his interview for the job.
