Well that's what Obama said, and shortly after the bill was passed my boss came in and said that he was droping everyones insurance, because the cost keeps going up.

Obama said the cost would go down actually.

It is your bosses fault he dropped your insurance, and the insurance company! There are still portions of the Affordable Care Act going into effect. I have a suspicion that your boss used Obama as an excuse! I can't say though without more details.
