Yep, the MAGA GOP got a serious shot in the arm in last night early elections around the country. Hell, you might even say it's a punch in the nose:

But as a New Yorker (by way of Long Island suburbs), the Snoopy dance was especially gratifying as 34 yr. old Democratic Socialist Zohran Mamdani became Mayor of New York City. He won this by (wait for it ) A MANDATE OF, BY AND FOR THE PEOPLE! He won in spite of and despite at least $40 million conservative/MAGA GOP campaign that pushed all the islamophobia tropes it could think of. Mamdani's campaign funds capped at $8 million - the majority being small donor contributions. He won by 50.2% of the vote by last count.
The MAGA GOP is hoping mad! Murdoch's rag The New York Post had a silly cover stating "‘On your Marx, get set, Zo! Socialist Mamdani wins the race for mayor!" The Red Apple" (the "r" being reversed) accompanied by a cartoon of Mamdani parading with the old USSR hammer and sickle held above his head.
