Our story thus far:
So, unless you're a hermit in a cave, you should know by now that the US military under the Orange Oaf and his Kegsbreath Sect of Defense (along with Little Batista Baby Rubio) okayed an incursion into Venezuela, where they kidnapped President Maduro and his wife. Fortunately, no casualties on either side has been reported.
During a press conference this morning, our orange pated feckless leader ticked off some base reasons for the action. Here's a fact check:

As one can see, the "reasons" for the kidnapping are essentially bogus. And let's all remember that despite a mass build-up of US military might off the shores of Venezuela, THERE HAS BEEN NO INVASION OF THE COUNTRY.
At the presser, Hump droned on as to how the US is going to take over and occupy Venezuela, sending in US Oil companies to control their oil production and reserves, and cavalierly stated that "boots on the ground" wouldn't be an issue.
Really?
Last I checked Veneuela has a pretty well stocked, armed and trained army, and Maduro's government is still standing. Venezuela is not some little dime store area, so essentially one would look at a declared war on a foreign nation that would require ground troops SOLEY supplied by the USA.
The current MAGA GOP Congress will in all likely hood sanction such. But I wonder if the American people will stand for another "back door draft" should this nonsense take a little longer than anticipated? And I shudder to think about the hell that would be unleashed should an actual military draft be initiated. Hell, even the Trump friendly, anti-Maduro Ms. Machado cannot just bop back to Venezuela unless the military factions openly side with her and the US gov't. THAT AIN'T HAPPENED YET.
So as Hump and Little Marco blow smoke about putting Cuba and Iran in their sites (yeah, THAT'LL work!
), the true fallout of this for the American people has yet to come.
And the Epstein files, 45 million people deprived of ACA insurance, food prices, destroying gov't oversight, federal funding cuts, illegal ICE raids, etc., ..... are all looming on the horizon for the upcoming midterms and 2028 elections.
