The Battle Between the Free World and Communism (Part 2)

“Collectively, communist states killed as many as 100 million people, more than all other repressive regimes combined during the same time period,” wrote George Mason University law professor Ilya Somin in a November 2017 Washington Post article titled “Lessons from a century of communism.” He listed examples in China – a death toll of 45 million following the Great Leap Forward – as well as those in the Soviet Union and Ethiopia.

“In each of these cases, communist rulers were well aware that their policies were causing mass death, and in each they persisted nonetheless, often because they considered the extermination of ‘Kulak’ peasants a feature rather than a bug,” he explained, “The injustices of communism were not limited to mass murder alone. Even those fortunate enough to survive still were subjected to severe repression, including violations of freedom, of speech, freedom of religion, loss of property rights, and the criminalization of ordinary economic activity. No previous tyranny sought such complete control over nearly every aspect of people’s lives.”

Unfortunately, the nightmare did not end with the fall of the Berlin Wall or the disintegration of the Soviet Union.

An Agenda to Destroy Society

Curtis Bowers, former House Representative from Idaho once attended a meeting of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) in summer 1992 at the University of California, Berkeley. The room was filled with men and women, most of whom were 50 or older. And their agenda shocked Bowers.

“They had a three part agenda. They would use their manpower, influence and funds to back anything that would destroy our families, businesses and culture,” recalled Bowers in a 2008 article on Idaho Press titled “Communist agenda makes its way to our mainstream.” More specifically, they would promote co-habitation instead of marriage to destroy families; they would wipe out the profit potential that motivated people to start a business; and they would abandon the American heritage of religion and morality to destroy culture.

In merely 16 years (from 1992 to 2008), Bowers was surprised to find all these goals had practically become reality before we even realized it. “When we see many mainstream politicians and activist judges with the same agenda that just 16 years ago was that of Communist strategists, it is time for patriotic Americans to wake up and get involved,” he wrote.

But very few people had realized that. The situation further deteriorated as the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) rose to be a dominating global power and continued to advocate communism around the world financially, ideologically, and culturally.

Communism’s Century-Long Dream

Founded in 1921, the CCP started as a branch of Stalin’s Communist International. With the genetic material of Marxism and nurtured by the Soviet’s experience in the Gulag system and Great Purge, the CCP far surpassed the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) in terms of scale, severity, and comprehensiveness. In the Cultural Revolution alone, it successfully eradicated thousands of years of Chinese culture and silenced intellectuals for any voices that challenged the party.

With the help from Western countries including the U.S., China has become the second-largest economy in the world. With nuclear weapons, over 300 satellites, and more than 200 million surveillance cameras as part of the Skynet system, it has become a state-of-the-art totalitarian empire.

In the late 1970s, the CCP politely asked Western countries for help. Once it climbed to the world stage, however, it waited no time shaping the world – in a communist way, calling it the China Model. For example, “the Ethiopian party cadres were taught comprehensively how to manage their own organizational structure, ideological work, propaganda system, cadre education, and relations between the central-local relations within the party,” wrote a July 2016 Brooking Institution report titled “Political party training: China ideological push in Africa?”

This is just one example. In Africa alone, such infiltration expanded to Sudan, Namibia, South Africa, and others. The curriculum includes “how to manage the media, public opinion, and criticism/opposition of the party, areas in which the Chinese Communist Party takes great pride,” wrote the report.

From Africa to Hollywood, from culture to education, from the environment to family values and gender awareness, Marxism has now dominated the world with ideologies of counterculture and anti-morality. Slowly, people leave behind the traditional wisdom, along with strength based on faith.

The CCP was said to have a secret. Since the Party was established in 1921, Mao Zedong had a dream of replacing the U.S. ruling the world within 100 years of the Party’s founding. Although the idea sounded absurd, CCP officials have followed it and call it China’s Hundred-Year Strategy in modern time.

After the 2008 earthquake in Sichuan Province, China, military experts noticed thousands of radiation technicians rushed to the region. Together with strangely collapsed hills, it was speculated to be caved-in tunnels that held nuclear weapons. A research team at Georgetown University confirmed China Central Television’s message that China has a 3,000-mile tunnel. After three years of hard work, they concluded China has as many as 3,000 nuclear heads in a system, reported Washington Post in a 2011 article titled “Georgetown students shed light on China’s tunnel system for nuclear weapons.”

As the coronavirus broke out in Wuhan in late 2019, the CCP tried all means to block the information. Nonetheless, five million people left Wuhan before it was locked down in January 2020, spreading the disease to the entire world. With more than 50 million people infected and over 1.3 million dead, the world has awakened to the damage caused by them and the nature of the CCP.

A War Between Good and Evil

In the 1980s, Reagan launched a campaign to curb the Soviet Union, which led to its collapse and an era of freedom. Forty years later, as the China-led communist endangers the world, a new battle has begun.

Even before the coronavirus pandemic, the CCP has bought many parts of the world with its economic power. Infected with corruption, people have gradually lost immunity and strength to resist the CCP influence.

The coronavirus, which was connected with the Wuhan Institute of Virology, the only Biosafety Level 4 (BSL-4) lab in China, has hit many countries or regions that were strongly influenced by the CCP hard.

Fortunately, many people have begun to wake up from the nightmare. “We have to tell the truth. We can’t treat this incarnation of China as a normal country, just like any other,” said U.S. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum on July 23, 2020, “If the free world doesn’t change, communist China will surely change us. There can’t be a return to the past practices because they’re comfortable or because they’re convenient.”

While communist countries have suffered countless tragedies, Western countries also risk being endangered by the specter of communism. “I went back and I read ‘The Naked Communist’ and at the end of that Skousen predicted [that] someday soon you won’t be able to find the truth in schools or in libraries or anywhere else because it won’t be in print anymore. So you must collect those books. It’s an idea I read from Cleon Skousen from his book in the 1950s, The Naked Communist, and where he talked about someday the history of this country’s going to be lost because it’s going to be hijacked by intellectuals and communists and everything else. And I think we’re there,” said Glenn Beck, host of the Glenn Beck Radio Program.

Sounds like a fantasy? Look around us and one may find the harsh reality that facts were often labeled as lies while lies claimed as facts. As the communism influence expands worldwide inciting hatred globally, the battle of good and evil has begun.

A Wake-up Call

Throughout human history, there have been countless conflicts, battles, and wars. Most of them only involve local disputes related to territory and/or ethnic issues. Very rarely had there been such pervasive danger that threatens the entire mankind.

As the strongest nation in the world, the United States has played a critical role in the past century. Established on faith and religious freedom, America believes we are blessed as long as we follow our principles and dignity. “One Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all” has been a motto inscribed in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Safeguarding such principles has not been easy. Other than major anti-communist campaigns in the U.S. during the 1950s, efforts by American leaders to counter communism has been very limited.

The anti-communism campaign in the 1950s was often considered a modern-day crusade. As described in Part 1 of this series, Marxism came from Satanism. With hatred and violence at its core, it deceives people and propagates widely with lies.
