The battle over Obamacare is finally won.

What you did not hear in the Republican responses to the SOTU was calls for the repeal of Obamacare. In fact, some Republicans are openly talking about the new strategy to CHANGE aspects of Obamacare that they don't like.

I am all for that! There are parts of the ACA that can be improved or even done away with, but we now have a consensus that we are not going back to the old system, that is done and over.

Personally, I would like to see a single payer system set up, or at least a public option. A public option would have fixed the problem of the huge deductibles and high rates.

What I don't want to see us go backward on is the higher standard for quality of coverage, pre-existing condition issues. Lets move forward to a better Healthcare system in this country, now that the threat of going backward to the old way is finally over.

No need. We the people are starting to live the nightmare and that will be driving this bus now. Public approval down 49 points thats a stunning fall.

It has not even started, you have the employer mandates kick in on 2015, then you have the "Cadillac Tax" which kicks in on 2018. I think the unions are going to be very pissed when that one starts up.

*until come march-april and we find out the youth didn't buy into your bullshit wrapped in tinfoil and the whole system collapses because it needs healthy young people to sustain it.

no republican ever thought they were going to overturn the ACA. it was just used for hammering obama and also grinding congress to a halt.

I'm constantly amused by the Liberal meme that argues that the party that didn't have ANYTHING to do with the ACA or voting for it, should now be obligated to help fix this mess; why?

How stupid are these dunces in the Democratic Party?

Wrong; most would really like to repeal this mess and would vote to. They just can't do it without the Senate and Whitehouse.

That was the strategy by the dishinest Democrats from the start. They rushed it through without knowing what was init because they knew they would only have the majority for a very limited time. They also knew that once passed, even the poorest of written legislation is extremely hard to repeal.

The Democrats made this bed; now they must lay in it and all the problems and messes created by it can be placed at their doorstep and no amount of trying to deflect onto the Republicans will succeed. They OWN Obamacare which is another reason dunces like Pelosi are arguing it should not be called Obamacare; they don't want sole ownership of this looming disaster.

What I find funny is they can't even get people to sign up...remember how the libtards all stated that everyone would rush to sign up and get healthcare? My big blue nanny liberal state of California with 38 million idiots living here has about 500,000 that have actually signed up.

.... And I believe most of those enrollments are MediCal.

it's a scam to begin with. It's made to suck. Then when it fails, they'll say "shit.. we need to do it the RIGHT way.. SINGLE PAYER.

Only Jughead would seriously think the ACA could be overturned with a Democrat President in office and a solid majority of Dems controlling the Senate....

His alternate reality world

Well, the Senate will be getting a lot of attention this fall. Do a good enough job there and the White House wont matter. 10 months of pain is plenty of time for every voter to have personal negative impacts or know someone who did. The donkeys may very well learn that you can tell lies too profound and will gin up consequences. Dems are already trying to distance themselves and that will only happen more.

I know they WANT to.. I am saying they knew it wouldn't have worked.

How do you know something won't work if you don't try? This Administration says sending help to Benghazi wouldn't have worked too.

Congress represents their Constituents; you don't represent them by throwing your hands up and saying; "what dies it matter"?

Millions have signed up!
Conservatards didn't like social security at first!

They still don't like it you dimwitted dunce; and anyone who thinks this Government sponsored ponzi scheme called SS used to finance deficits is security are as dense as the bone that fills the cavity between your ears.

Anyone who thinks Obamacare will improve the healthcare system are retards.

I hope you are right; but based on the last election, my confidence in the American sheeple having the slightest clue when they vote is seriously undermined.
