I had a really good stereo system that I could blast...concerts did not seem worth the hassle/cost.

That was a mistake.

Blasting a record on my really good stereo system did not get me to the nerves on fire experience of a really good concert, of which I did a few.

Ted Nugent Soldier Field 1977 was about as wild of a show you could get in a sports arena.

Linkin Park backyard party somewhere on the border of Sonoma and Napa, summer 1996/97. These kids played 5 hours and none of the neighbors complained.
