The "bizzaro" Dershowitz defense.

According to Dershowitz, if a sitting president thinks that his/her own re-election is in the best interest of the nation (and what incumbent wouldn't say that - at least publicy), then the president can take ANY measure needed to ensure a victory. This means that opponents could be assassinated, and voters threatened at gun point, etc.,etc., if the president believed doing so was in the best interest of the country.
Also, according to Dershowitz, Trump could not be found innocent for shooting someone on 5th.@Ave., ( as has often been stated) because as president, he could not be charged with a crime in the first place.
Somehow, I do not think that the framers gave this much autonomy to a president. Especially fresh off of monarchy rule.
