The black heart and soul of conservatism laid bare...

Note, that most conservatives are not this vitriolic and insane. But, deep in the bowells of movement conservatism, there is a strong undercurrent of vicious brown-shirted thuggishness and callousness. One that is generally tolerated and/or encouraged by the more partisan elements on the right. My fellow posters from other board, can easily attest to this. These aren't random, or even unique or rare comments. They are pervasive and ubiquitous in movement conservatism.

"If federal funds (SCHIP) were required [they-the Frost family] could die for all I care. Let the parents get second jobs, let their state foot the bill or let them seek help from private charities. […] I would hire a team of PIs and find out exactly how much their parents made and where they spent every nickel. Then I’d do everything possible to destroy their lives with that info."

Hang 'em. Publically. Let 'em twist in the wind and be eaten by ravens. Then maybe the bunch of socialist patsies will think twice.*

And how many times have we seen a TheoCon use this callous quote:

"I mean, people have access to health care in America. After all, you just go to an emergency room" -- President GEORGE BUSH

and....

"Frost family draws ire of conservatives"

Redstate exemplifies the real conservative far right fascism, and yes, it is fascism, calling it some lesser evil word would be dishonest. Post a thought that counters their propaganda and you are banned. Probably one of the most social darwinist and militaristic sites on the web.

"Passionate hatred can give meaning and purpose to an empty life. Thus people haunted by the purposelessness of their lives try to find a new content not only by dedicating themselves to a holy cause but also by nursing a fanatical grievance." Eric Hoffer comments on Redstate
