The Bush Legacy:

"Iraq is on the verge of collapse": Iraq's government has lost control of vast areas to powerful local factions and the country is on the verge of collapse and fragmentation, a leading British think-tank said on Thursday."

“There is not ‘one’ civil war, nor ‘one’ insurgency, but several civil wars and insurgencies between different communities in today’s Iraq. … It is now possible to argue that Iraq is on the verge of being a failed state which faces the distinct possibility of collapse and fragmentation.”

Not to mention the massive debt.
Fragmentation of our society.
Spying on our own citizens.
Destruction of our stature in the world.

Yes a wonderful legacy....

Correct me if I'm overstepping here, but isn't this pretty much exactly what the anti-war activists on both sides of the Atlantic have been saying FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS? Great. It takes a "think-tank" to see the obvious.

"No. EVERYBODY thought they had WMDs. EVERYBODY thought we would be greeted as liberators. NO ONE could have predicted we'd be greeted with a hail of gunfire and bombs. Even the Democrats voted to invade. Besides, the french helped saddam hide the WMD in syria."

"I think for us to get American military personnel involved in a civil war inside Iraq would literally be a quagmire. Once we got to Baghdad, what would we do ? ...I do not think the United States wants to have US military forces accept casualties and accept responsibility of trying to govern Iraq. It makes no sense at all"
