Much has been said by the Democrat Media Industrial Complex about Trump tearing apart the Republican party. But, recent polls show that Trump has a 90% approval rate among republicans
However, when you look at the democrat party, they are not at all cohesive
You have people undermining Nancy Pelosi and stating publicly that they will not support her as Speaker should they take back the House
You have Auntie Maxine wailing about not being supported by Chuck Schumer and Pelosi in her calls to harass republicans like Sarah Sanders
And now you have the left turning their back on Brother Bernie for not supporting the abolition of ICE.
The democrat party is in a real bind right now. They have ginned up their radical left wing base and now they are calling for nothing less than abolition of ICE. Rational actors in the democrat party know that it would lead to an electoral wipeout in the mid terms.
So what does the democrat party leadership do? Do they tell their radical base to take a hike and risk demoralizing them heading into the mid terms? Or do they follow their lead calling for dissolution of ICE and suffer an historical defeat in the mid terms?
