ZoNation with Alfonzo Rachel: The Democratic Party's Long History of Racism

Vice President Joe Biden accused the GOP of wanting to put people in chains. Were his words taken out of context, or could this be another racist sentiment at the core of the Democratic party? Hear the details on this ZoNation.

The racists of today are the Repubs. Not all Repubs are racists, but all racists are Repubs.
By now you crazed thread starters have to know the southern Dems who were proudly racists, left the Dems when LBJ passed the voters right acts.https://economics.princeton.edu/wor...the-south-bringing-new-data-to-an-old-debate/

I am honestly intrigued that (especially) in 2021 you think Democrats aren't or can't be racist. My mind is kind of blown TBH. It's like this alternative reality.

There are some Dems who are bigotted. But they are not running the party. The haters and bigots do run the Trump party. It is a coven of haters and bigots who use violence. The Repubs have pushed minority suppression laws in 40 states. Can you guess how many states the Dems pushed them in? Correct, it is zero.

Now granted the OP is an idiot and made this a Dem vs Repub thing, but you have made this claim multiple times before that Democrats aren't or can't be racist and that's what I'm responding to.

For example, do you even read or listen to black people? They may hate Republicans and vote Democratic 90% of the time, but there are many that will still say the party supports racism. Hell, the President (a Democrat) wrote the two big crime bills of the 80's and 90's that have been called leading examples of systemic racism and the New Jim Crow. So don't tell me they aren't running your party.

In 2021 there are very few (white) people that like to be called racist. It's not really a good look in much of society to be viewed that way. So there's almost an element of power in calling someone else that term. And it's almost a defense mechanism, "If I'm an old white person who votes Democratic and calls others racist then I'm safe and that deflects from my own actions" (see: person who thanked your post as Exhibit A).

Look at all the claims of how rampant racism is at our Universities. Do you think it's a bunch of uneducated unvaxxed trailer park living Trump voting right-wingers who run these institutions? How can these places dominated by liberals foster such an environment if liberals aren't or can't be racist?

You know one reason things won't change? Because Democrats like yourself won't acknowledge you need to.

Edit: It should be said the whole idea of how we define racism is changing (see Kendi, Ibram: How To Be An Anti-Racist as a prime example) so that's always another additional layer to the conversation

Double Edit: I'm not saying any of this to dismiss or deny racism on the right. I'm responding to your claim you've made multiple times that Democrats aren't or can't be racist.

Read what I posted. The Repub party is based in bigotry and hate. The Dems are not. There were 81 million people who voted for Biden. I do not know what each and everyone thought. But the Dems are not the party of bigots. The Repub is the party of racism.

Interesting, so your party passes a bunch of racist legislation but it's not a party based in bigotry or hate. So does that make your (racist) actions better? Or worse?
