Except it ignores the fact that only a few won by such a large margin. It accounts for all the votes throughout. The razor thin margin was the fact that most won by less than 3%, and in fact there are still ones being counted because the count was so close they have no way of knowing who won until the Provisional ballots are completed....
 
Its a blowout in terms of the popular will of the american people nationwide.

If I'm not mistake, the Dems have won the popular vote for the senate nationwide, for the last four election cycles.
