The first thing Chief Justice Roberts must do...

...when Trump's trial commences, is to swear in the Senate. The oath reads:

”I solemnly swear (or affirm) that in all things appertaining to the trial of Donald John Trump, now pending, I will do impartial justice according to the Constitution and laws, so help me God.”

I would urge the Chief Justice to forego the group swearing of the oath...and instead ask each Senator to make his oath individually.

Considering the public statements of some of the Senators...there is ample reason for doing it this way.

I'd love to hear Mitch McConnell say those words out loud. I'd love to see Lindsey Graham say them.

Hello Frank,

Whatever happened to: "I do not wish to comment. I am a potential juror."

???

...

It appears to have been replaced with

"You have no evidence."

Frank I think that is a great idea sadly it wasn't done in the house before we got this fiasco.

I'd like to see the Democrat senators say them.

And be lying.

is that what you believe? You do know this was about 2 highly positioned Repub Senators who said they have no intention of acting as fair jurors.Turtle even said he will work with Trump and his staff. Exactly how corrupt do you need things to be before it bothers you. Making some unsubstantiated claims about Dems, who have not said crazy things like Mcconnel and Lindsey is being dishonest and not responsive to the thread.
You sure do hate.

I will start. Trump has ample opportunity to show his innocence with documentation and allowing admin people to testify openly in court. Trump obstructed by stopping any documentation and any testimony that would have proven the case one way or the other. Rightys are apparently happy that Trump has allowed everyone even slightly in knowledge to ignore subpoenas and court orders. In the past, nobody ignored subpoenas. Not everyone can. Trump is eroding the justice system in his obstruction. It is not benign. Trump is doing damage in many facets of the government and rightys do not care.

He gave the transcript which WAS the quid pro quo. Anything else is meaningless.
