I know we had American History (that cute goth girl was in there for me) and Florida History was an elective.
In there you learned about cracker cowboys and the early days.
There were black crackers in FL. If they made it south of St. Mary's river into FL, they were considered free men and eligible for gainful employment. True Story!
People didn't give up slaves to slave hunters in FL.

When almost all of the kids in your class Ace the State final? You got a damn good teacher. Somehow they got us to learn that stuff inside and out, backwards and forwards.
Literally all but one of us in that class got 100% on the State final test. I felt so bad for the girl that didn't. She was a sweetheart.
She only missed 2-3.
