The future of Afghanistan

Looks like the Joke Biden administration is making another total fuck up of foreign policy. As the US withdraws from Afghanistan, China and Pakistan are poised to move in and take the US and NATO's place. That gives China land access to Iran and the Middle East. It also increases the Chinese threat to India, particularly if China gets access to ports in Iran or Pakistan.

It definitely shifts the balance of power in that part of the world to China if they do move in.

Thanks for openly confessing Republicans and Republican sympathizers want to continue fighting a third decade of war in Afghanistan.

You would be amazed how many Republicans and erstwhile supporters of the Iraq War disaster put flowers in their hair and try to pose as hippy peaceniks.

It's not a matter of that. The US military has been in Europe and Japan now for over 75 years. Sometimes when a world power is in a position where they need to keep check on another world power such things are necessary. Or, are you saying you're fine with China increasing it's dominance over India and the Middle East?

Let them have their fun with that. Afghanistan will chew them up, too.
They already kicked Russia's ass before.

So, the same fucking thing would have happened 5 years ago or 5 years from now, everyone knows this, someone else will be controlling the country, fuck them.

They were corrupt for 40 years, they will be corrupt for the next 40, no matter who invades.

How much longer should we stay there?

We gave them help for 20 years and all they did was take our $$$ and kill our troops.

We failed and we failed big...we had to leave.

It looks to me that the Chinese have decided that the Taliban are to be offered a stake in the government under terms that they would be foolish to reject, and that China will then fund the development of the place.
