If there was one demographic group that blunted the force of the “blue wave” in this month’s midterm elections, it was rural white voters. Even as Republicans lost control of the suburban areas that had been their strongholds in the 1980s and 1990s, Republicans extended their hold over rural America. The GOP is now on the verge of uniting nearly all rural white voters into a single party – which has never happened before.

Yep...except for the Christian part...I don't care for those people.
 
The Trump Repubs are a shrinking demographic. They have to expand their base and Trump alienates almost everyone who is not a crook at heart. He is hurting farmers and insulting the military. He is galvanizing those who do not like him by his treatment of people he thinks might be liberals. yeah, Californias burning, but who cares if they don't vote for him? This is not how you win in 2020.
 
The GOP lost four Congressional seats in hardcore conservative Orange County CA in the election.

The GOP will be a complete minority party with no hope of reviving by 2024 if it does not start serving all of Real America.
