One caveat: just because Jeff Davis was let off last time, I wouldn’t count on it happening again. Of course, Biden may give presidential pardons to the survivors if there are any. What do you think?

Jefferson Davis was never POTUS and never betrayed his country nor his followers. In the ex-President's case, it wouldn't surprise me if some militia members decide to extract revenge for his betrayal of them.
