The insanity of less regulations bullshit, can't be done. Anytime you take a regulation away , business will start doing it the next day, if it has anything to do with profit. Whether it's poisoning the population with lead or protecting their workers from injury. Take away these regulations and business will start poisoning and stop protecting their workers the next day. Ya great idea to deregulate.
The right will give you the same lie for a excuse for ever and that is regulations takes away business ability to function at their best. Ya if only profit is concerned. The right will give you a long list of stupid regulations that fill any aspect of government , a list that even isn't considered for use. Then when they get the chance to change these goof ball regulation the keep them on the books because they are needed there to sell their bullshit. Then they will instead take away a regulation that's needed to protect the population from capitalism that operates without considering conscience , They will eat our children for the bottom line. Capitalism has no conscience and for the people who think they do , you just have to laugh.

You make a great point. No law or regulation the government has put in place during our 225 year history has ever become not needed or outdated. Never. We ought to have a constitutional amendment that once something is signed into law it can never be rescinded.

You might want to pass your message on to Ted Kennedy (well he's no longer with us), Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton because they were all deregulators.

Deregulation has become code for less protectionism, and you are correct, profit is usually the motive, but not always, there does exist some burdonsome regulations

why do you allow government to ignore the law and regulations without punitive consequences, then? or is it only corporations that you despise?

In the Bay Area we have a severe housing shortage. One way to address is progressive lawmakers want new development in certain areas to be streamlined (i.e. deregulated) to be built faster. They are concerned about gentrification and people of color being forced out. However as you stated deregulation is evil and is all about right wing profits. So if people of color have to leave so rich white people's property values continue to rise then that is the price we have to pay.

There has been a lot of talk about prison reform to help unpopulate our prisons. However to do so would mean changing laws, i.e. deregulating. We have a corrupt and racist criminal justice system that penalizes people of color disproportionately but hey, too bad for them, deregulation is evil.

Many cities have current zoning codes that were put in place during the days of redlining that were to prevent black people from moving into white neighborhoods. However to get rid of, or change, those codes would be deregulation. Thus racist land use policies are ok today because deregulation is evil.

It depends on the kind of regulation you are talking about. Some deregulation is good. Airlines for instance, years ago they were required to service all routes whether they were profitable or not. That forced the airlines to raise prices in all markets making air travel much more expensive. Back then there was no such thing as $49 round trip NY to Vegas (just an example not a real price). That is just one example. So you can't make a blanket statement all deregulation is bad.

Actually hot shot , wouldn't bother me at all that they rescind useless regulations. but the right is made up of such self serving people that they can't ever be the ones to judge whether it is useless or not.
They won't even try to get rid of those useless laws , they protect them with their lives, so they can be used to point out how bad some regulations are, but if they make their point and get the chance to change those bad regulations , they never do , they only go after regulations with dollar signs all over them, doesn't matter if a few people die over it or it destroys our economy, Like Bush the baby killer did. Implementing right wing policy.

You have a great career ahead of you sir in writing useless generalizations if such a position opens up

Capitalism unfettered will eat its self too

well fettered capitalism paired with Democracy is the answer

There's a big difference if someone has a conscience and someone doesn't. Wacko right wing economists have said over the years that Conscience shouldn't be a deciding factor in capitalism. Scum bag opening up coal again , The who did what in deregulations is topped by one fact, the hate party believes in deregulation across the board. Democrats in no way do.

Tons of them all protected by the right so they can be used to deregulate but then never never go after those that were pointed out , just the big money ones.

You can't charge the democrats at being the deregulation party that belongs 100% to your hate party.

Bullshit , laws are to protect us from criminals in our society, regulations are to protect us from criminals in business. Big big difference. I always wonder though if there is more criminals in our society or in business , don't you?

It's called red lining and it was done by business and the hate party. not democrats.

The hate party has a across the board,a policy of deregulations , all looked at by the perspective of dollars, democrats see regulations as a way to protect the public. Big frickin difference, . Get something straight I am in no way talking about the republicans of our parents, they don't exist anymore , it is now a consolidation of hate. Those are the ones I'm pointing out.
