The Iowa Debate Moderator is absolutely horrible...

We were talking about this yesterday after the R Debate. She was confrontational and kind of stupid.

I mean, "Raise your hand if you..." questions remind me of the "Check this box" crap notes passed in the third grade.
 
I liked her straight-forward approach. I don't look for "gotchas" in debate, I look for quickness of response and the content of that response.

Edwards did real well in this debate and he came across as genuine.

There were no losers.

It demonstrated the intellectual superiority of democratic candidate over republicans.

Republicans talked about God and faith, which amounts to playing the violin while Rome is burning. They avoided talking about the war and barely mentioned the name Bush.

Democrats addressed far more substanative issues. with far more intelligent articulation of what they'd do about those issues.

Is the war important to Americans other than me?

Do you think "what would Jesus do" is a more important question to American voters than how do we get the fuck out of the quagmire the right, republicans, and really dumb people got us into?

I mean, c'mon: Obama versus Grandpa Fred

Joe Biden versus Duncun Hunter

Dennis Kucinich versus Tom Tancredo.

Bill Richardson versus Alan Keyes.

Hillary versus Romney.


I think McCain is the only one that might have the intellectual firepower of most of the dems.

Agreed absolutely .. but McCain has saddled himself with the failure of Iraq and he ain't ever going to win that debate.

Why was Alan Keyes there?
