The Long Road to Residency

As long as the government places arbitrary and unnaturally high barriers to peaceful entry and naturalization there will be an illegal immigration problem.

Here is a good story about the difficulties faced in gaining citizenship.

Much of the bureaucracy surrounds weeding out those who are attempting to gain citizenship through one of the loopholes/fast tracks the government has created, i.e., marriage to a citizen. If we just made it easy for them to gain citizenship, without marriage to an American, there would be no need to investigate the marriages. We have created a need to conduct an extremely invasive process one that is offensive to anyone who cherishes their privacy. Why?

These people just want to be citizens. Even those with sham marriages are not attempting to evade the law in any meaningful way. They are simply attempting to satisfy a stupid law.

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

I don't think this would be a big issue if we just did away with all the welfare.

,,,, and did away with,,,, maybe,,,,,, prohibition.

Welfare is just a red herring here. It's ridiculous to think these people are coming here for welfare and there is no proof they make use of welfare more than others. Any negative in government revenue - expenditure associated with immigrants is likely less than the amount we spend trying to stop them and/or ensuring they have jumped through the hoops properly.

What?

I do in this case.

We are all immigrants, or descendants of immigrants. Let's not blame immigrants for our failures.

I do nothing of the sort. My ancestry came to this county, respected the borders, learned the language and assimilated into the culture. Without those three you basically have an invasion.

Libtards are so fucking stupid about this issue. Leaving our borders open is analogous to a man with a nice home in a shitty neighborhood leaving the doors open.

It's a nerve racking experience, knowing that one bad answer and that your fate is in the hand of an immigration officer. Granted if one part of the couple is a US Citizen you've got a hell of a lot going in your favor and it's not a difficult interview to pass, unless it is a sham. I can remember having a brain fart when the interviewer asked me what her brothers name was. I freaken forgot and started to freak out. She politely went on to another question and two minutes later when she was on another question I started yelling his name!

Phhllllbbbbtttt!!! To quote the Boss "There are saints and assholes on every street corner."
Dude if you don't appreciate the USA then get the fuck out. What other country has a Constitution that states that God gave Men freedom and Men in turn give limited power to a government? Everywhere else on the planet you will be a subject of a government that decides what rights to give you and what rights not to give you.
