Vem Miller, the individual arrested with firearms outside Donald Trump’s rally in Coachella, California, on October 12, is a registered Republican with notable connections to several high-profile Trump allies, including Steve Bannon, Vivek Ramaswamy, Newt Gingrich, and Stephen Miller.

Miller, a 49-year-old producer of conspiracy-themed documentary films, had recently discussed assassination attempts against the former president in an interview with retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Raiklin, who refers to himself as Trump’s “secretary of retribution.” This interview aired on the America Happens Network, a platform co-founded by Miller that positions itself as an alternative to mainstream media.

In a conversation posted on Rumble on October 1, Miller expressed concern over a potential election theft, stating, “We need to be prepared.” Raiklin responded with a plan for countering threats, suggesting that he had already considered various scenarios, including assassination attempts on Trump.

Raiklin told Miller, “If they assassinate any political presidential candidate, America will respond in kind.” This alarming dialogue included Raiklin discussing his strategy to deal with potential threats against Trump, indicating a belief that such actions could lead to severe repercussions for those responsible.

Miller’s arrest occurred when Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco reported that a deputy stopped him at the inner perimeter of the rally after he had passed through the outer perimeter, possibly believing he was a VIP or part of the press. Upon searching Miller’s vehicle, deputies discovered disarray, multiple identification documents under different names, and illegal firearms, including a loaded handgun and a shotgun. Sheriff Bianco suggested that Miller’s arrest may have prevented a third assassination attempt.
