The media and their power

That is a great ad. The time lapse imagery is very powerful. Someone should go on the today show and ask Matt Lauer why his bosses and the bosses of all the other media giants choose to give more air time to Hillary and Obama, because it is a choice. Even in a debates they are quietly molding us.

The notion of a mainstream "liberal media" is stupid to the nth degree.

If MSM was liberal they would have been exposing all the lies and deceptions of the Bush Administrtaion long ago .. the way REAL liberal media was doing on the web and in alternative sources.

Americans have been molded since the day they stepped foot on these shores and there is nothing different about today's molded and invented Americans.
 
This is why we need free airtime. they need to give each candidate who can come up with X number of signatures air time to state their platform and what ever they want to tell the American public.

Then there would be a chance for people to get their message out.
 
The media generally sucks, plain and simple. This is a view held by both sides of the debate believe it or not. It's not about bias really, it's about sensationalist, boring stories. I looked at the FoxNews website tonight and here's what I saw:

Ex-agent: Chicago JFK Plot Foiled--------------------Don't Care
Holloway's Dad to Scour the Sea---------------------Don't Care
Exiled PM, Musharraf Set for Showdown-------------Real News
Rescuers Scour Rocks and Debris for Survivors-----Don't Care
Two-Faced Cat in Arizona Still Alive, Doing Well----Don't Care
Cops: Man Tried to Have Sex With a Fence----------Don't Care

And the list goes on. I don't care if 27 people died in a bus crash, or if a dad is look for his missing daughter. Sure, I have sympathy for them, but it is just NOT real news. It doesn't affect most people in the slightest. About 150,000 people die daily, so these stories about 1 missing person does not really bother me that much. Sure, it sounds morbid but it's the truth.

Unfortunately the MSM is still somewhat restrained by "facts" and "checking sources"--- if only they could be like leftist bloggers and state whatever the hell they want with no accountability! Then the truth surely would be heard!

Its corporate owned. They do what is best for the coporations. They help pro corporate candidates get elected and bury stories which could harm their corporate interests. This menas they end up helping the Republicans because their platform is more benificial to them. The whole media is liberal biased bullshit was a republican snow screen to push it to the extreme. It worked.

Yeah, that's why the media always looks the other way every single time Bush does anything ridiculous or any nutjob writes a book about how evil he is. Get a fucking clue.
