A CNN/SSRS poll was conducted March 8-12, 2023 among Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents to find out how many think the 2020 presidential election was “stolen” and if there is proof of that.

63% said the election was stolen, and just over half of those (52%) believe there is proof.

The last time the question was asked, in October 2022, the corresponding figures were 63% and 61%.

In January 2021 75% of those who thought the election was stolen believed there was proof.

75, 61, 52 . . .

By the end of the decade a large fraction of Republicans will still think the 2020 election was stolen, but virtually none of them will believe there is any proof. :laugh:

Next up: how many Republicans would believe the Earth is flat if Trump said so?
 
Dominion's suit should have told the Trumpys something. The confessions of Fox talking heads should have also done so. They admitted lying to keep viewership. They said the stolen election was a lie that had to keep saying. They laughed at how crazy the Trumpian spokespeople were especially crazy Rudy and Sidney Powell who they thought was a joke and rightys called the Kraken.
On this board, it does not matter. Once conned, people have a tendency to stay conned. learning is tough. Evidence is simply rejected.

Why are you talking about a poll about what people believe?

The election was stolen. The evidence is not only overwhelming, we watched the stealing of the election occur right before our eyes, like watching a bad magician who inadvertently reveals every step of his "trick". The evidence still exists and isn't going anywhere. Donald Trump won the election and exposed the Uniparty for what it is, i.e. The Republicans are a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democrat Party. The State legislatures did not represent their constituents as they were supposed to; they simply allowed the Secretaries of State to give all the votes to Biden when they were supposed to cast the votes themselves for Trump. The Supreme Court should have flagged the unconstitutional activity and nullified it, but the Supreme Court failed to uphold the Constitution which requires votes to come from State legislatures.

The election was not allowed to happen and the People and the States were robbed of their choice of President.

Elaborate. What should a rational adult who has seen overwhelming evidence of a stolen election conclude from what you have written? ... or who watched the Supreme Court renege on its duty? ... or who saw Republican politicians bending over furniture for Democrat politicians?

Let's be honest; most Trumpers are idiots and live in fear of women, gays and people of color. Most are, indeed, poorly educated or, as shown on JPP, elderly demented Euro-American geezers posting from the safety of their keyboards.

The election was fair and honest. The evidence is overwhelming. It is not just the election commission recounts and reviews, but Trump court cases as well. That is evidence. You have nothing but super Trumpian beliefs.

It’s ego related, it’s hard to admit you are wrong and Fox doesn’t broadcast any of the dirt on them, so their viewers remain ignorant.

Other than political message board members, it's unlikely that anyone who gets most of their news from Fox has even heard that Carlson and others at the network didn't believe in the stolen election lies, even though they continued to publicly espouse them on the air.

I wondered if she either met her demise from COVID, or sank into a deep debilitating depression when "the storm" didn't materialize prior to 20 Jan 2021.

Trump is rousing up violence again. He is such a foul and self-centered man. It is all about him. If he is in jeopardy for his lifetime crime spree, burn it all down. He wants violence again. Protect me, I am your fearless leader.
