A CNN/SSRS poll was conducted March 8-12, 2023 among Republicans and Republican-leaning Independents to find out how many think the 2020 presidential election was “stolen” and if there is proof of that.
63% said the election was stolen, and just over half of those (52%) believe there is proof.
The last time the question was asked, in October 2022, the corresponding figures were 63% and 61%.
In January 2021 75% of those who thought the election was stolen believed there was proof.
75, 61, 52 . . .
By the end of the decade a large fraction of Republicans will still think the 2020 election was stolen, but virtually none of them will believe there is any proof.
