Technique 1: Conclusion Laundering: The headline read "Trump Knocked Back on His Political Heels." That is not a fact. That is opinion dressed up as a news observation. The manipulation started before you read a single word of the article.

Technique 2: Assertion Stacking: The opening paragraph contained 5 editorial opinions presented as background facts. None sourced. None with a named witness. Just stated. By sentence 3 you had already read 5 contested claims masquerading as established truth.

Technique 3: Partisan Source presented as Neutral Observer: The closing quote (the last word of the entire article) came from the CEO of the National Democratic Training Committee. An organization that exists to elect Democrats. His partisan role was buried.
