The Nothing Is Real: What The NeverEnding Story Warned Us About

Yeah, I watched the first 60 seconds then said, "WTF". Just make your fucking point, Edison!

Thanks for watching the first 60 seconds at least, lol :-). I think the main point is that The NeverEnding Story film and book are a metaphor for the power of having dreams and what happens when we stop having them.

Why would we stop having dreams?

I held on for two minutes--gotcha there Lurch! :awesome: I can sum that video up in two words: Verbal vomit. It is droning academic prose trying to masquerade as intellectual retrospection. It isn't.

People have dreams, just what they dream about might not be some lofty ideal but rather based in more negative desires.

Had to admit that "gotcha there Lurch!" bit had me chuckle :-p. I don't agree with your idea of the video, but that's alright. Glad you go to the 2 minute mark anyway. Your last line reminds me of a line from a documentary on the 2008 crash called "Inside Job". "...when those dreams turn into nightmares, other people pay for it". Here's the trailer for said documentary:

It's only 2 minutes and 45 seconds, just a bit longer than the 2 minutes you did in the NeverEnding Story one, lol :-p.
