I am not going to list the ways they could take down a plane, but thinking they have to have a passenger is a misnomer.

Eh. Who really knows. I am always a bit suspicious of these big announcements. I remember when the FBI claimed to stop a plot to take down the Sears Tower. It was three guys who had no shoes. THey certainly had no way of buying plane tickets. You know, who knows. I guess they must be doing pretty good since we haven't had any attacks. I don't get excited over these announcements though - many of them are phony.

They may see a benefit from phony stories too... it may give pause to others who are planning such events. But as you said, who knows.
