Religous conservatives receiving funds have political ties to embattled senator
In a move ostensibly aimed at providing "better science education" in Louisiana schools, Sen. David Vitter has secured $100,000 in taxpayer dollars to fund an anti-evolution effort spearheaded by a religious group politically connected to the alleged prostitute-soliciting Republican.

I am just waiting a few years, If McConnel stays in and Fletehcer is re-elected I figure the state will bail out the anti evoloution museum in Northern KY. I figure it will go bust after the novelty and mandatory church trips fizzle out.

btw for those of you who do not know our Republican guv is a Baptist Menacer.

I need to check out that creation "science" museum if I'm ever out there. That would be quite an experience.

Is it a required stop for college republicans from University of Kentucky?

Just the republicans, a minority there. but Now Asbuy and a couple of other "Christian" colleges is another matter....

This shit makes me just so embarrased to admit that I was a Republican for over 20 years. I remember when I was in college and was a member of the young republicans. About 60 % of our members were what I would call "Main Street Republicans". We were for lower taxes, a balanced budget, improving national defense, sound governance, limited government and pro business and very proactive for the entrepreneurial class. However, we had about 20% who were the "Michigan Militia wing nut gun freaks" and the anti-abortion and anti-evolution christian/catholic conservatives. But they were always the minority and though we were willing to compromise to some extent on their single issue mania, we were never wholly supportive and we were the dominant force. If you told me then that 23 years later we would be a voiceless minority in the Republican party I would have laughed in your face.

Well I'm not laughing now. Now I'm a blue dog democrat. I couldn't possibly consider voting for a Republican at this time.
