Around 90 journalists have been targeted since the protests began. In many cases they had clearly identified themselves to police and been attacked anyway, or arrested.

Interesting perspective, and would normally fit, but I think Trump threw out all the standard understanding of traditional politics

I'd wager, as you said, he is counting on strengthening his base by escalating the hate while at the same time using the attacks to portray his opponent as evil and crooked, thereby creating the either/or supposed selection he did so well with in the last election. That way he can deflect from making the campaign about issues and policy, the failures of his tenure, and all about how corrupt Biden is as a candidate.

Demogoguery fits the strategdy perfectly, and with the aid of the right wing media endorsing Trump's hate, is his strategdy

Trump's tweet is absolutely correct. Hatred and anarchy is precisely what they want. Then they want to "fill the void" with a tyrannical socialist oligarchy where THEY rule over everyone else. This plan has been quite obvious for a long time now...

I predict they will deliver a landslide victory for "The Donald" just like they did in 1972 for Nixon when he won 49 out of the 50 states.
