China then retaliated by restricting export of rare earth minerals to the US. That’s a BIG problem for the US, because China controls 90% of global rare earth mineral processing. But basically, taking more Chinese students is the concession Trump had to make in order to fix his April tariff f*ckup – because China has us by the balls on rare earths.

Even if we could fix the universities, and a lot of people think that we cant.....they have been too far gone for too long (I think the problem started with the Korean era GI Bill) far fewer people should go to one than has become the norm. We need to massively shed capacity no matter what.

Education is ok as long as it's useful. But most schools teach useless crap like literature and sports and music and all the silly humanities. STEM makes sense though that may change soon due to AI.

It seems to me that if we let 600,000 Chinese take things like Ethnic and Gender studies and other insane pseudo-liberal arts and then send them back to China, they'll fuck that country up as badly or worse as Europe and the US have become...

I'll take "the left's" education over MAGA's quest for ignorance any day and twice on Sunday. Republicans know that a stupid public is an easily manipulated public.

Using this particular tactic against the Chinese might work, but I suspect the Manipulation ability of Authoritarian Communism in control of China will more than win the battle for the minds and hearts of the Students.

Things like Woke and Trans work for spoiled, pampered, ignorant descendants of the Elites, like Mamdoni, but less so for the poverty and hardship stricken slaves of a Communist State.

It takes willful ignorance and a pampered background to fall for the Deceptions and Mental Illness of the American Lefties. I think the Chinese students will see right through it. Additionally, they are very loyal to their Han-Clan and Chinese Nationality. There is such a thing as Patriotism in China.

The people that the Chinese Communist Government will allow to come to America to be students here will be Chinese patriots on a mission to gain our tech, and not the type of people who would be swayed by Woke and Trans. Those types of people will be held back in China, to work the fields, factories, and be disassembled for international body parts sales.

The Chinese Communist Evil operate at several levels above American Lefties Evil.
