Barbara Mikulski just announcing that Democrats will be bringing up a pay equity bill after Memorial Day (2012) in responce to a law signed by Obama in 2009....

Democrat legislators making no effort to hire a like number of women to higher paying staff positions to show some support for equality in their workforce....relegating the
females to peon rolls on their staffs at best....at $21,000 difference in pay...

That's not what he or anyone is saying. The point is that in some Senate offices, the top aide is a guy; in some, it's a woman. That's it. I'd be somewhat dismayed if every female Senator turned away every male candidate for the top position with the words, "Sorry - I'm only looking to hire a woman."

If the Senators in question voiced the opinion that ONLY women should be hired for top jobs, then we'd have some hypocrisy.
