The reality of Halal slaughter

It's horrible watching them suffer. I kept watching the first who's throat was slit and tossed onto the pile. The little guy just kept looking around while the vermin threw another victim on top of him.

I used to have a farm house just outside of Columbus and my neighbor was an Iraqi immigrant who's family owned a Halal market and his home was raided several times by the local health dept cause they used traditional Halal methods to butcher his live stock, not to mention their idea of disposal of the offal was a hole in the ground. Needless to say when the wrath of USDA fell upon him he quickly modernized his operation.

When I was young and living on a farm we always used a small caliber pistol to the back top of the head for steers, cows or hogs. Anything smaller was hanged upside down and its throat slit over a bowel or bucket. That or you lopped their head off with an hatchet.
