There are only TWO people with first hand knowledge of what happened. Maybe the accusations are true and maybe they are not. What I find most interesting is that Miss Reade somehow managed to get into law school (subsequently failing the Bar exam) without ever having completed her undergraduate degree. Obviously, there were/are some serious credability issues that caused a very prominent Me Too attorney to drop her after only two weeks from accepting her as a client.
That said, our system of government is predicated on the assumption of "innocense" and not "guilt". Somehow, we have managed to let our extreme divisive political views erode our basic sense of justice and "right and wrong".
When we take the idealogical position that a bad party "x" candidate is better than a good party "y" candidate, then we are in fact promulgating the demise of our own democracy
