Code Pink is a women's peace movement. Founded by Medea Benjamin who has become fairly well-known. You might have seen her being arrested at various State of the Union addresses, because she gains entrance, and then takes off her jacket while bush is talking and is wearing a "bring the troops home now" t-shirt and they remove her. Anyway, the group does a lot of different things on local levels, and then gets together from all over the country for meetings and/or marches in DC.
Cindy Sheehan is a member, and Code Pink is extremely supportive of her, providing a prescense whenever she has an appearance. For instance, she is going to be in NY at the end of Sept, and I and other members of NY Code Pink will be there, as a support system because she does attract a lot of right wing hate and abuse.
Really Care? I'm not sure of any official standings,, but I never think of PA as being part of the tri-state area. Defintely NY, NJ and CT.

when younger, my boyfriend was a lawyer from south Jersey and maybe I got it from that...I thought the Bar covered him to practice in those three states...this was AGES ago, so I probably thought it from that maybe?
Huh...maybe back then PA was considered one of the states. But as Rob points out, today, the car commericials claim the tri-states to be NY NJ and these days, advertising types have the final say on everything as you know.
If you take two bar exams at the same time (local in another state, such as Pennsylvania or New York, on Tuesday, the MBE in either state on Wednesday, the essay/MPT day in New Jersey on Thursday), New Jersey will accept the score of the MBE taken in either state.

The Tri-state Bar Examine included New york, New Jersey, Pennsylvania....and still does today...
But this has nothing to do with what Rob was speaking about as the tri state, so I was wrong on that...

as someone who's lived in South Jersey and in North/Central Jersey I can assure you that you're all right. It literally depends on where you live. The local region is consider "the tri state area". Toward SJ the tri-state area is considered PA, NJ, and DE and North Jersey its CT, NY, and NJ
