Once DADT was gone I don't think they had any other option, people in the military would sue for equal treatment, if the base they serve at is in a state that allows it what reason would the Chaplains have for refusing (other than personal religious reasons)? Those Chaplains that serve in a religion that allows it would start performing these.

(An obvious attempt to get the thread back on track.)
 
Now the question of benefits comes up, which was my only caveat to the end of DADT. Not that I agreed with the policy in any way, but I foresaw (and still foresee) a huge abuse of the system if WHEN they start giving out marriage benefits.
