Ignoring past precedent, some have called the protest an insurrection.
The Usurper (or his handlers) shamelessly sensed an opportunity to score political points, so he began piously pontificating the talking points that someone lase made up and fed to him.
Quoth the hypocrite: "The scenes of chaos at the Capitol do not reflect a true America. Do not represent who we are. What we're seeing are a small number of extremists dedicated to lawlessness. This is not dissent. It's disorder, it's chaos, it borders on sedition, and it must end now. I call on this mob to pull back and allow the work of democracy to go forward. The work of the moment and the work of the next four years must be the restoration of democracy, of decency, honor, respect, the rule of law, just plain, simple decency. The renewal of the politics that's about solving problems, looking out for one another, not stoking the flames of hate and chaos. As I said, America is about honor. Decency, respect, tolerance that's who we are, that's who we've always been."

Just last year, Americans watched as cities around the country were ransacked by Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioters.
People were publicly assaulted, threatened, and killed, government buildings came under mob attack and were vandalized, and thousands of buildings were damaged, looted, or burned to the ground.
They were the most extensive (and expensive) riots in American history, and they lasted for months.
While this was occurring, DEMOCRATS posed for photo ops to prove they were sympathizing with the rioters, when they weren't busy pretending that leftist mobs were justified, or attributing the violence being perpetrated to an "idea""
They even blamed President Trump.

After leftist rioters attempted to storm the White House, burning a historic Washington DC church and injuring more than 60 Secret Service agents in the process, DEMOCRAT D.C. Mayoress "Bow-Wow" Bowser declined to prosecute the unrepentant perpetrators.
Instead, she imperiously ordered that an entire city block be renamed"Black Lives Matter Plaza."
