The way I see it

Liberialism/collectivism helps the middle class become poor, and helps the poor to love dependancy on a government (every dems target). It helps the rich though--slavery serves the rich very well--look at China.

A real consertative or liberitarian method though helps all people. Less poor/unabled to take care of--and more people with the means to help take care of them and themselfs at will. The population earns a good way of life--instead of being slaves.

Just one mans opinion.
 
idealistically I agree with you, but there will always be some that need help. we will always have our poor that cannot provide for themselves for many reasons.
And I err in the side of caution when helpless children are involved and unfortunately we have those that try for a free ride on the backs of children.

One of which I agree with on this issue wholeheartedly, though I don't call it erring on the side of "caution" but on the side of "mercy."
 
Um.... liberals/progressives created the middle class. A middle class does not exist in a puritanical capitalism.
 
yep the stock market would suck if not for the people that actually do productive work and not just shuffle portfolios. Pretty much everything rides on the back of the working class.
 
It cracks me up how people dont realize what is needed to keep the economy fired up.

A conservitive once told me that during slavery the people that built this country were the ones owning the slaves. That it was their ability to grow this country which made it great.

I shut them up with one sentence.

I replied. Let me have a group of people who worked for me for only cheap food and bare minimum shelter and I could build one hell of business in no time too.


Its sad that people really dont get it.
