When a person who is the Attorney General of New York State, namely, Letitia James, is caught - having knowingly and intentionally falsified several mortgage documents, by having provided false information on official forms in order to gain favourable loan deal -, it is actually very serious criminal misconduct. Given her position she can't plead ignorance, and as she represents the just rule of law in her State, it is important that she is held to a higher standard.

Taking an "eye-for-an eye approach" i believe needs to happen in the case of prosecuting AG Letitia James for her criminal falsification of official mortgage documents. It needs to happen for the political class to finally realise that weaponising the Justice System is a two-way street.
(NB: I am not so naive as to think that Letitia James' fraudulent mortgage paper-work was just accidentally stumbled upon by some random "Charie Brown" while he was cruising around in New York City.; then dutifully handed in to an officer in a a local FHSA premises. Naturally the Republica Party organise some "oppo-research" in order to dig up whatever dirt they could find on James..And, of course, this would have involved looking into her financial affairs for any sign of dodgy dealings. It's hardly surprising that they accessed the James' various mortgage documents because mortgage fraud is rife across America. The fact that Letitia James was a pin-head who has blatantly falsified multiple of her official mortgage documents, "stuck out like dog's balls" - the oppo-researh dudes would have scarcely been able to believe their luck. Here they had Letitia James gotch-eyed, crooked ,far ass handed to them on a plate. Here was concrete evidence of criminal fraud shoe that REAL laws had ACTUALLY been broken. This was not the kind of of slippery, dubious, "evidence" that was the hallmark of lawfare prosecutions. It was solid, airtight, incontrovertible evidence of criminality (or very close to it) So while Letitia James was targeted by Trump's MAGA men with respect to"oppo-research "dirt-digging", this is a commonplace practice in American politics. It's kind of nasty, but politics iat this level is not a effete, "parlour game". Secondly, while Letitia James prosecution of Trump for fraud was an example of Lawfare. If the TrumpDOG decided to charge James for falsifying her mortgage document to ensure more favourable loan terms, the prosecution would not be carried out with any political distortions or shady manipulations of the law.
