Santa Monica PD says they've arrested 10 burglary suspects in #PalisadesFire evacuation zones since the fire began, none of whom live in Santa Monica.

Six had burglary tools with them, one pair had the Watch Duty app open on their phone to track evacuation zones.

SMPD says they were able to stop some attempted burglaries before they were carried out.

Details & booking photos for four suspects above, per @SantaMonicaPD.

DEMOCRATS ARE SOFT ON CRIME. CRIMINALS KNOW

29 arrested in Los Angeles-area fire zones, including burglary suspect "dressed like a fireman," sheriff says

Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said 25 people have been arrested in the Eaton Fire area and four people in the Palisades Fire area. In response to the increase in arrests, Luna has requested additional assistance from the National Guard.

Luna said a man suspected of burglary was wearing firefighter gear when he was arrested in the Malibu area.

"I saw a gentleman who looked like a firefighter, and I asked if he was okay because he was sitting down, and I didn't realize we had him in handcuffs," Luna said. "We were turning him over to the LAPD because he was dressed like a fireman and was not. He just got caught burglarizing a home."

He probably stole the firefighter gear from a fire truck too...
