Some say soon trump's attempt, aided by approximately 35% of the population, to establish fascism in the US will be over and it will be time for the rest of us to restore our Democratic Republic.

There will be questions about what to do with his followers.

The example of Germany after WWII might be instructive.

“Historians have a word for Germans who joined the Nazi party, not because they hated Jews, but out of a hope for restored patriotism, or a sense of economic anxiety, or a hope to preserve their religious values, or dislike of their opponents, or raw political opportunism, or convenience, or ignorance, or greed.

That word is “Nazi.” Nobody cares about their motives anymore.

They joined what they joined. They lent their support and their moral approval. And, in so doing, they bound themselves to everything that came after. Who cares any more what particular knot they used in the binding?”

Question: What does this "fascism" look like? Can you give us some examples? What would be eliminated to "restore our Democratic Republic?"

Okay. Fascism has a history of vilifying certain individuals and even violence against them. Jews and LGBT people being examples.
That is an incomplete comparison. In general as government moves Left and becomes increasingly dictatorial, it begins to single out certain groups for persecution. The selection of such groups is based on the motives and goals of the dictatorship. Often, groups seen as outsiders to the main population of society are selected.

In Russia, the Soviets persecuted Jews, Cossacks, and other minorities. Communist China did likewise. The Imperial British, Belgian, etc., governments persecuted certain minorities too.

So, singling out fascism as the only type of dictatorship that does this behavior ignores the bigger truth that it happens in general on the Left in a dictatorship which is what the Left is all about forming as a government in whatever specific form it wants to take.

Who said anything about the Left?

The Left/Liberalism today in America is for the individual rights. The Right has no history of that.

That's the Right. Fascism selects the "desirables". It rejects what it considers to be undesirable.

So?

Nobody said it was the only type of dictatorship.

The Left embraces the minorities. The Right doesn't.

See England and the Middle East for example.

No, the Left embraces like-minded people and groups they favor. The Right doesn't give a shit about that kind of thing. They prefer anarchy. That is, no rules and everyone gets to do whatever they please. The problem with the Right is that doesn't work with large numbers of people interacting. The problem with the Left is that a tiny minority ends up oppressing everyone else to one degree or another.

The Republican Party prefers anarchy?

this is why you lost.

you're a nazi genocidal shitgibbon, like all bad people's of earth.

Come on, don't be stupid. The Republican Party is Left of Center at best. The far Right are things like sovereign citizens, mountain men, and hermits.
is something wrong with those included in YOUR definition of far right?

I think far right is the perpetual war state neocons who only care about war and killing.

hermits and mountain men are just good people.
