this shows what the gop base is really about

I wonder how many righties think a woman is "asking for it" when she's raped.

funny how liberals will keep pounding after the guy clarified what he meant. I'm no fan of the moron, but you liberals who keep bringing the same thing up are NOT INTERESTED IN CIVILIZED DEBATE.

FUCK OFF DQ

the clearest sign of partisan hackery is watching the other side continue to berate someone for some stupid idiotic comment, even after a 'clarification' is made, while studiously defending a 'clarification' from his own political side after some stupid idiotic comment.

When he "clarifiedwhat he meant" did that change anything for you? What is there to debate?

Really? Did his "clarification" make his stance OK with you?
You and Tinfoil are certainly inplying such is the case.

If not, what is your point?

The right hopes this issue will go away, because Akin fucked up when he said what many of 'em believe, and it's going to cost them votes...

As a legislator, Akin has a record on abortion that is largely indistinguishable from those of most of his Republican House colleagues, who have viewed restricting abortion rights as one of their top priorities.

Republicans are worried about the political fallout from Akin’s comment.

Rush Limbaugh said "He needs to get out for the good of the party, for the good of the country, for the good of the presidential campaign, and we gotta defeat Obama.

Single women are one of the country’s fastest-growing demographic groups — there are 1.8 million more now than just two years ago.

They make up a quarter of the voting-age population nationally, and even more in several swing states, including Nevada.

In a recent New York Times/CBS News poll, single women favored Obama over his Republican rival, Mitt Romney, by 29 points...

of course it's not OK with me, and I seriously doubt that it's ok with tin as well. and if you can't see the point of our posts, then you must be part of that group of partisan hackery.

But it's OK with a large portion of the conservatives in America, isn't it?

Todd Akin’s beliefs are expressed every day in conservative circles. The social conservatives will celebrate him and declare those who disagree to be immoral and godless.

He seemed to be completely caught off guard by reactions to what he said.

In the settings in which he normally finds himself, he is rewarded for stating boldly what he believes.

And, you can be sure, a lot of people respect him all the more for what he said.

He will be admired as one who suffers for the faith unless his apology for “using the wrong words in the wrong way” tarnishes him.

But what struck me was his lack of familiarity with the larger world outside his rather cozy world of people who think as he does and his naïve belief that his theology can be easily applied to public policy.

It will cost Aiken votes and may cost the GOP the Senate. But, it will not cost Romney anything. Now it does play into the OWEdummyfucker "war on women" meme, but that has been a farce from day one.

Here is a stat for you dipshit libs. There are more women GOP governors than there are democrat governors. Now stuff that in your pipes and smoke it

[h=1]Wake up: It's not just Akin[/h]

They will say this is about one person.

It is not.

They will attempt to distance themselves from the controversy.

But they can't.

They will even try to claim the whole conversation is a distraction from the "real issues."

And yet they never shy away from using this same conversation to fire up their base, or hurl attack ads or raise funds.

The truth is the "legitimate rape" comment made by U.S. Rep. Todd Akin -- as in pregnancy from "legitimate rape" is rare -- is not a GOP anomaly but rather another disturbing glimpse into the viewpoint too many social conservatives have about women's health and reproductive rights...

I understand that you can't come on here and say "Hey gimme four more years of the halfrican americans economy", so this is the best you can do. But, as I said, this will not even come close to determining the election. The fact that you and your fellow demalquedacrats think it will shows just how desperate OWEdummyfucker and you are.

BTW. Here is a little poll for you to peruse.

http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/...ble_640309f2-ee25-11e1-bb2a-001a4bcf6878.html

A couple of salient points, Aiken is only down by 9 points which is pretty amazing. Seems like demalquedacrats like yourself are the only ones who want him to stay in the race. But, it is a testament to how unpopular ole Blair Witch McCaskill is.

Now look at Romney leading OWEdummyfucker by 7 points. Outside the margin of error. OWEdummyfucker only wins St. Louis and Kansas City (which duh we know why), but Romney gets over 60% everywhere else.

So you can take your bullshit opinions and shove them up your progressive ass, because the FACTS don't back you up.

EPIC FAIL!

Ya think?

Why has Romney/Ryan put a squelch on abortion questions? Why are they unwilling to talk to reporters and/or the people?

What are they going to do during the debates? Plead the Fifth?

In a discussion in the Kansas House about whether women purchase separate abortion-only policies, Republican state Rep. Pete DeGraaf suggested women should plan ahead for rape the way he keeps a spare tire.

A few weeks later, Indiana state Rep. Eric Turner, a Republican, said some women might fake being raped in order to get free abortions.

Former presidential hopeful Rick Santorum said doctors who perform an abortion on a woman who becomes pregnant from an attack should be thrown in jail and this year suggested rape victims who become pregnant from an attack should be forced to keep the baby and "make the best out of a bad situation."

And we're to believe Akin is just a one-off.

There are countless instances of women faking being raped. You surely know that. Just like cases of queers faking hate crimes.

Bit as usual this the stupid GOP fighting on demalquedacrats turf. All they have to do us smoke out the demalquedacrats by ceding the rape argument. Let the demalquedacrats have the 0.5% of abortions that occur from rape and make it illegal for all others. Case closed. We win the argument. But they are too stupid to do it

So you agree with the Republicans I cited who want to force rape victims to bear their attacker's child?
